Alberto is a Partner at Amrop Peru and a senior executive with more than 30 years of experience in the mining industry.

He has held senior leadership positions in global companies such as Newmont, Gold Fields, and Minsur, where he led strategic projects, corporate development initiatives across the Americas, and the end-to-end management of mining operations portfolios in Peru and Brazil.

Alberto's career blends strategic vision with strong execution, emphasizing people, culture, and leadership. He brings a comprehensive understanding of the mining lifecycle—from opportunity assessment and business development to operations, organizational transformation, and long-term capability building.

He currently also serves as an Independent Director in mining-related companies, advising boards and executive teams on growth, strategic repositioning, and governance enhancement.

Alberto is a Civil Engineer from PUCP, holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Business Management from Centrum PUCP, and has completed executive programs at Harvard Business School and IESE.
