Isabel Reija is a Partner at Amrop in Spain.
She is a serial entrepreneur in the energy and mobility sectors with proven capacity for growing businesses from scratch in uncertain scenarios. Expert in transforming industries with a global view and strategic thinking. Focus on the customer needs, building high-performance teams.
She has deep experience in the energy industry, big utilities and new businesses. After learning about the business in big utilities, Isabel decided to start-up with a high innovation approach and creative, efficient and purpose orientated management.
In 2010 she started a company which became the first independent electricity and gas supplier in Spain, and designed and built one of the first Spanish tele-controlled charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. In 2019 co-founded the utility of the future integrating different business lines to share energy with distributed solar power plants with a private equity participation. She now plays a role as investor, advisor and board member in companies and other institutions, especially in education and professional schools as well as foundations.
Isabel has a high sensitivity to social impact actions and environmental respect. She is a professor and committed to play an active role in associations and professional schools looking for changes.
Isabel holds Bachelor & Master of Engineering Degrees at ICAI - Universidad Pontifica Comillas, Madrid, Postgraduate from LSE London School of Economics, PDD from IESE. She actively participates in forums on energy transition and entrepreneurship and collaborates in programs where the human factor is critical to transform as a mentor and teacher.
