James is a Principal at Amrop UK. He has over 15 years’ experience advising boards, executive management teams & HR/Talent Teams, executing retained senior executive searches at Board, C-Suite and N-1/2 levels. His key focuses include digitilisation, IIot, cultural transformation, diversity & inclusion and sustainability.

James has experience of working across a wide range of industries throughout his career, including Aerospace & Defence, Automotive, O&G, Chemicals, Manufacturing/Engineering and the broader Industrial sectors. He has conducted searches globally, including EMEA, Americas, Africa and Asia Pacific.

Before joining Amrop, James has worked for three other Executive Search firms in the UK. He has been successful in establishing and growing industrial practices specialising in engineering & manufacturing across multiple sectors, including Aerospace& Defence, Automotive, Rail, Infrastructure, Building Materials and O&G.

In his early career, James worked in Sales, for Parity Group and then in Recruitment for Computer People.

James lives in Berkshire, UK with his wife and two children.
