Marek is a Partner at Amrop in Slovakia. He has extensive experience with financial institutions, focusing on retail, corporate banking, and risk management. He also focuses on advising family-owned and private equity-backed companies as well as executives at private equity funds.

Marek joined Amrop in 2011 after working for several years in leading international audit, tax, and financial consulting firms, providing mainly tax consultations for Slovak and international clients across all sectors.

In Amrop in Slovakia, Marek leads the Financial Services & Professional Services practices. Additionally, Marek is a member of Amrop's global Life Sciences Practice.

Marek specializes in Executive Search and Strategic Talent Acquisition in the area of Financial Officers/Finance, Legal, Risk, Compliance involving top and senior management positions, as well as highly specialized positions. He also develops new business opportunities in the Private Equity and Venture Capital sectors.

He oversees senior-level assignments in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device and diagnostics, and contract service sectors.

During his first decade in Executive Search, he has completed numerous searches for Chief Executive Officers, Chief Finance Officers, Board Directors, and other functional executives for leading banks, financial institutions, retail, pharmaceutical, and consumer health clients.

Marek holds a university degree in Human Resources Management from the Faculty of Management at the University of Economics in Bratislava. He also completed a semester program focused on small and medium-sized enterprises at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
