As a public servant with technical background, Tomoyasu Uragi covered from maritime safety and environmental administration, overseas infrastructure development to personnel policies and recruitment at the Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. He engaged in diplomatic negotiations at United Nations specialized agencies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, before he was stationed as Deputy Consul-General and Director of Economic Division at the Consulate General of Japan in New York.

He joined Amrop Jomon Associates as he longed to contribute to the lasting and concurrent growth of businesspersons and companies.

Tomo received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Osaka University and dual MS in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering & Technology Innovation Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
