In 1977, four like-minded executive search firms in France, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States created the Amrop International network to serve clients internationally. Within a year, by 1978, the Benelux countries (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg) and Germany joined the growing organization.
In the 1980s, Amrop expands into Asia and South Africa. It continued to expand, especially in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as in Latin America and Asia in the 1990s. This new global strategy propelled Amrop into the top 7 Executive Search organizations worldwide.
Amrop International merges with The Hever Group, propelling it into the top 7 executive search firms in the world by 2000.
In 2009, The Amrop Hever Group is rebranded as Amrop. This strategic move reflected our strengths as a progressive, cohesive and globally driven organization.
By 2012, Amrop's new slogan "Leaders For What´s Next" was launched. Then expanded its offerings beyond retained executive search and launched the Leadership Advisory practices in 2016
Amrop with 8 board directors of 8 nationalities, including 3 female directors and its first female chair, expounds on diversity.
Amrop last year made the strategic alliance with JM Search, a premier executive search firm in the United States. And this year we are celebrating our 45th anniversary.
